Lots of Posts!....and a Mouse Update

I just made a bunch of posts, so scroll down and read them all! Or at least look at the pictures :)

Also, I know I said I was done with mouse posts, but I have just one more at the request of my friend Lisa.

So, a couple of weeks ago I had an exterminator come over, since we'd caught three mice already and I knew we had one living in the wall behind our washer and dryer. We'd sealed in all the holes around the pipes and gas lines we could find, so apparently it couldn't get out. He said I'd done everything he would do, and didn't charge me anything after doing an inspection of our house. We figured the mouse would probably just move out if it couldn't make it out of the wall. Just in case, I kept all my traps out, and put some poison behind my washer and dryer.

Well.....the other day I noticed our house was kind of stinky when I got home, and I just thought it was the sink or garbage or something like that. I didn't think much of it. Then yesterday, Brian called to say he opened the closet under our stairs and it really stunk. Well, that closet shares a wall with our laundry room. I asked him what it smelled like, and he said "rotten meat" Greeeeeeeeat........

Brian had to go to Panaca for some work, so I left work early to see if I could find the mouse in the closet. I threw a bunch of stuff out, looked everywhere and nothing- no dead mouse, no mouse poop, no holes in the wall where a mouse could get through. So then I grabbed my cat and set her down the closet and she immediately started sniffing by the wall. So I'm pretty sure its in there, and there is NO WAY I am putting a hole in the wall to try and find it. Luckily its in a closet and not our living room. So I put a bowl of baking soda in there and shoved a blanket under the door, opened our living room window, and now our house doesn't smell as bad. I guess we'll just have to wait it out for a couple of weeks. That sounds so gross, but I really don't know what else to do. Ugh. I am soooooooo over mice!

Ambrie's Baby Blessing

The day after Halloween we blessed Ambrie in Panaca. It was a gorgeous day, perfect for a baby blessing! :)

Here is our little angel in her blessing dress.

Curtis and Sadie- these guys are totally best buds! We also got Sadie a new dress for the occasion. Isn't she adorable?

Sadie and her baby sister

Our awesome friends Aimee, Robbie, and Taite drove over from Cedar just for the blessing. We were so excited for them to come! After church the kids had a ball playing outside.

We also had to get some family pictures in :)

Halloween in Panaca

This year we decided to go to Panaca for Halloween. We thought it would be fun for Sadie and Curtis to go trick-or-treating together, and then we decided to bless Ambrie the next day since it was November 1st.

This was the first year where Sadie REALLY seemed to get the whole trick-or-treating thing. She had a blast! She and Curtis loved saying trick-or-treat at all the houses and getting candy, and they didn't want to stop! But us wimpy grown-ups finally got cold and made them go home- I know, we're so mean!

Even after we went home though, when other kids would ring the doorbell, Sadie and Curtis would run to the door yelling "trick-or-treat, trick-or-treat!" It was so cute :)

Here's our little Tinkerbell!

Ambrie was an adorable little strawberry!

Our cute little girls!

Curtis was one tough Spiderman, I tell you what!

Pre-Halloween Party!

Our fun neighbors, Kasie and Lorenzo, invited us to a Halloween party at their house last Friday. We had so much fun! It was supposed to be adults only, but unfortunately we couldn't find a babysitter- everyone was either out of town, or going to the same party :) Luckily we weren't the only ones, and our friends had someone to watch the kids upstairs so we could have some fun grown-up time. We had a blast!

Kasie's decorations were awesome! Her whole downstairs was decorated.

Our hostess with the mostest!

Isn't Robbie's costume awesome?!

Me and my new buddy Tracey!

The girl who was watching the kids upstairs had to leave around 9:00, so after that the kids came downstairs. This is our neighbors and their cute little boy Corlin

Alex was bringing sexy back... ;)

We had a great time, and we're so lucky to have such awesome neighbors!

Pumpkin Carving!

John and Lindsay invited us over to their house Monday night for chili, cupcakes, caramel apples, and pumpkin carving! We had so much fun!

Sadie loved scooping out our pumpkin, which really surprised me because usually she doesn't like slimy stuff.

She was really getting in there!

Our friends Aimee, Robbie and Taite were also there.

This is John babysitting for a bit :) What a good guy!

Our finished products. Ours is on the right. John and Lindsay's is on the step-stool, and the other two are Aimee's and Robbie's.

Our jack-o-lantern

Me and the girls. We couldn't get one where both of them were looking at the camera at the same time, so here is one where Sadie's looking at it...

...and here is one where Ambrie's looking at it :)

Mommy Daughter Date

Last week Brian agreed to watch Ambrie so Sadie and I could go on a much overdue mommy/daughter date! I don't know who else this happens too, but after I had Ambrie I felt a lot of guilt about not being able to give Sadie as much attention. And while she's doing good and being a GREAT big sister, I felt like it would be awesome if just she and I could spend some fun time together.

I asked her what she wanted to do, and she said "Go to the dinosaur park" which is what she calls one of the elementary school playgrounds here. So we went and had a lot of fun! It was great for me too because I could climb, slide, and run around with her since I wasn't holding Ambrie the whole time. I love Ambrie, but sometimes its nice to have a little break, you know?

It was seriously like pulling teeth to get her to sit with me long enough to get a photo of both of us- she didn't want to stop playing for that long, lol! :)

When it started getting dark, we still had a little time before I told Brian we'd be home, so we went and got ice cream! The perfect end for our mommy daughter date :)

These next two pics aren't of our date, but from the next day. Me, Ambrie, and Sadie went for a walk to a nearby park and Sadie asked if she could bring her "treasure", which was an empty wipes box she had put some things in. I said sure!
When we got to the park, she started taking everything out, and here is what was in it:
a toothbrush, some blocks, a hair brush, nail polish, a pen, a necklace, one of Ambrie's socks, a lid, some of Ambrie's toy rings, an amethyst rock I have, a toy cat, a plug cover that came with one of Brian's computers, a lid, and a little toy bed. I had NO IDEA she had that much stuff in there! It totally made me laugh, so I had to share!
